To determine the flat crush resistance / CMT value of a packaging or similar grade of paper, the laboratory model provide the standard flutes as per commercial production. The flat crush resistance / CMT value is the force required to crush the flutes of the corrugated paper, the force being applied perpendicular to a plane tangential to the flutes as per standard testing conditions. A laboratory corrugating machine for producing a sample to evaluate flat crush resistance of corrugating medium. Fluting rolls are heated upto 176 0C maintaining a constant temperature by digital / thermostatic temperature controller.
