| Tensile strength: The maximum tensile force the test piece will stand before it breaks and the elongation at the moment of rupture are measured.
Tensile index: Tensile strength divided by grammage
Stretch at rupture: The ratio of the increase in length of a test piece of a paper or board at the moment of the maximum tensile force during a tensile test, to its length before the test.
The Tensile Tester is intended for determining the tensile strength and stretch at break of the paper, board, metal foil, textile and plastics. A test piece is clamp between two jaws without slipping and pulling apart so that the breaking occurs. The maximum load at which the sample breaks measured on a calibrated scale.
The Electro-Hydraulic drive gives the pulling clamp a uniform and vibration free movement provided with a hydraulic flow regulator by means of which the speed of the lower clamp can be adjusted. It has a silent running and a long service life with low maintenance costs.
